So I'm seeing a lot of mixed reviews, and at the time I left, I likely would have left a three star review. In hindsight however, the experience that I had there was not at all what I wanted, but entirely what I needed. I see staff complaints in other reviews from clients. Why does it matter so much to you? Are you saying it's the staff's fault that your "treatment" failed? My friends, right there is your problem, no joke. You want to be a victim, and Common Ground won't cater to that kind of childishness. Sadly, I think that you might have also confused a modified TC platform of treatment for staff judgmentality. It's not judgementality, its psychological therapy. Now, I tortured some of the staff members, but they met me where I was, a place at which I am no longer at. Not once were my childish complaints or idiotic outburst met with positive reinforcement, I am so grateful for that. Other treatment facilities kiss, Common Ground kicks, and that's what we need. So yeah, the staff is occasionally inconsistent, all of us are too. There are only six cigarette breaks, and in that I learned that delayed gratification is something to look forward to. Every complaint can be seen as an exponentially greater blessing, if we choose to view the situation with appreciation and gratitude. Common Ground is what we've made of it, what we chose to open our minds to, we played the leading role. I will be forever grateful for the staff's ability to help build my strengths through exploiting my weakness. If you're reading my review, in the grips of addiction, Common Ground will work for you if you're at the point of true surrender, if you put it all on the table, and don't screw around. Don't be distracted! If you give it like you got it, one day you will have it.

It makes me sad to see all the negative reviews. This place saved my life. They took me in and literally nursed me back to the life I deserve. If you are serious about recovery and are willing to do the footwork they will guide you. The staff cannot do it for you, you have to do it for yourself. However, they will provide you with the tools you need. If you expect a miracle you are the only one that can make that happen. I owe them my life and will always be grateful for what they provided me. Thank you Common Ground!

Just before the patient begins treatment at Gaudenzia, a comprehensive patient assessment will be conducted in order to determine which treatment method will work best. No matter what age group the individual belongs to, treatment is available to those of all ages . In order to obtain a life that is free of addiction, the addict has to be in the mindset of ‘recovery’. Gaudenzia strives to show addicts that there is a life outside of addiction and through treatment; Addicts will be able to take control of their lives.
