I'm shocked at some of the reviews I'm reading about the centre. I don't recognize the experiences written because my own was so positive. I felt the team was extremely professional and kind and that the compassion and expertise they showed me was rare in this world. It is not a corporate facility so if you are looking for a 4 star resort this is not it. I feel strongly one needs to prioritize what is important when our health is on the line but the place was cleaned daily and everything that needed to be sanitized was. I am someone who expects the best and I felt comfortable that I was getting the best care I could possibly get. For me the laid back setting did not interfere with the meticulous data collection by Dr. Brush or the thorough investigating done by Dr. Baylac. Together this team analyzed, observed and diagnosed me correctly. They gave me what I needed to get better. I decided every step of the way what was right for me and I felt completely in charge the entire time. I never wanted to lose my autonomy over myself just because I was sick. I left feeling better than I ever had. They made sure that every day I was given what I needed. They didn't appear to care about money and I stayed for two weeks before even paying the first invoice. That is trust. It is expensive but compared to what? A hospital? A 4 star hotel? A corporate facility? You won't get organic hand made food at any of those places or this kind of expertise. It worked for me and I'm quite demanding and particular. I am also regaining my health and able to put into practice what I learned from them. These are smart and caring and professional people and Dr. Baylac is leading this team. I think she's brilliant and when I needed her, she was there for me profoundly, but I didn't treat her like she was the only one who could help me. Dr. Brush was my primary care provider and she is whip smart and measured in her approach. Thank you to everyone there for helping me heal and regain my life again. I was desperate and they were exactly what I needed. Personally some of the complaints I have read in other reviews seem rather far-fetched and I'm sad that to see them. I would never hesitate to recommend this place to anyone but I always keep in mind: WE are in charge of what happens to us, no one else.

I have had Lyme disease and various other chronic and auto-immune conditions for decades. I searched high and low for a retreat center that could truly assist me in my healing journey. I had always had a special connection with the Big Island of Hawaii and after speaking with Dr. Kelsey on the phone, as well as Nicolette, I chose to spend about 3 weeks at their Kapoho Sancutuary retreat house outside of Pahoa. They facilitated an easy arrival, picked me up at the Hilo airport, and were very friendly from the moment I stepped foot into the house. The house is not fancy by any means, simple but comfortable accommodations. I was fine with this, knowing that the cost to participate in this program is truly about the therapies they offer, not about the house itself. I loved all of the therapists, with the exception of one. There is no such thing as a perfect program, and I certainly experienced a few hiccups throughout my time there, but it wouldn't stop me from going back again and spending another 2 weeks or a month even. This is definitely the type of treatment program that you can cater to your own needs. By no means are you ever made to feel that you "must" do this or that, just because they make a recommendation. It's important to advocate for yourself around what you feel safe and comfortable doing. That being said, I'm glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried as much as I could. Everything from colonics to hypnotherapy to yoni steaming and more. The program is really and truly mind, body, and soul between all of the holistic psychotherapies and breath-work in addition to the IV therapies. I loved the food too. I would recommend this program to those seeking a calm and well-rounded experience to facilitate physical and emotional well-being.

1st off I feel amazing, 20 pounds lighter and 20 years younger. The staff is super professional and the equipment is mess free. 5 years ago I paid $3200 for the same service, at another facility, that I got today at Hawaii Naturopathic retreat center for just $80. It's a limited time offer and I'm so glad I went.

What an experience! Dr. Baylac is an amazing Doctor/Woman with an effective approach to healing. Her approach is unique but she lives the lifestyle/practices she advocates which makes her treatment even more effective and convincing as she radiates joy and health in many ways. You will feel and be healthier when you leave. I would recommend this to anyone looking to renew their health or interrupt bad habits. However it is very pricey and much of the treatment offered can be done on your own if willing and have the willpower. Her prescribed program can be challenging for many and is not for everyone as it requires abrupt and radical lifestyle change!
